The large town of Warrington stands on the banks of the River Mersey in Cheshire, England. It is probably best known as the location of the Burtonwood RAF base, one of the largest air force bases in England as well as a US Air Force base. During the Second World War these bases were visited by the likes of Humphrey Bogart and Bob Hope. Both the airports at Liverpool and Manchester are easily accessible and being less than a two hour train trip from London, the Warrington venues are a very popular choice for meetings, conferences, exhibitions and trade shows.
